Shop Assistant

We are looking for a shop assistant, knowledgeable in sales management and pet industry. Shop assistant is responsible for advising customers, shop deliveries and knowledge of all products.

• Part-time
• 10 to 20 hour work week with flexible day offs

Main Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional service
• Advising customers on our products and helping them find suitable products for their dogs and cats
• Developing good knowledge of our product assortment, including dog food, treats, accessories and other pet products
• Actively supporting sales and recommending suitable additional products
• Operating the cash register and handling payments correctly
• Restocking products and ensuring shelves and displays are always well presented
• Checking product availability and informing the management team when products need to be reordered
• Checking expiry dates and ensuring products are correctly labelled and priced
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shop
• Supporting regular stock counts and inventory control
• Taking care of the overall appearance of the shop, including displays and promotional materials

Your ideal portfolio

• Be fluent in German and English
• Be reliable, responsible, friendly and proactive
• Have 1 year or more work experience in sales or other customer oriented service field
• Be pet friendly, knowledgeable and willing to learn in the pet industry
• (Optional) Experience in the pet industry
